Robert G. Hall
EXYP Board Chairperson, President & CEO, Columbia/Willamette YMCA 

Bob is the President/CEO of the Columbia/Willamette YMCA. Graduated from the University of Montana at Missoula. Has worked at the YMCA in Portland for 19 years. Started out as the CFO then was made COO. Recently made the CEO of the YMCA.

Russ Brown
Founder & CEO, Certifax

Russ is the founder/CEO of Certifax. He sold his company to Walgreens, and served on Executive staff with Walgreens during the transition. Also serves on boards for Concero and Payless. Oversees Lake Grove Presbyterians Zambia missions committee. Received bachelors at Oregon State University, was an NCAA track and field athlete at Oregon State.

Sarah is currently serving on the Board of Trustees for Museum of Glass, Tacoma Washington. currently Co-Chair of Capital Campaign for Young Life's Washington Family Ranch. M J Murdock Trust's Youth Workers Round Table; Women on Philanthropy, Portland; was a French Teacher, Portland Public Schools and Sam Barlow High School; Lewis & Clark College — MAT, Teaching 1978, University of Washington — BA, Art, French and Education

Kevin Adams
Managing Director, The Mountain Group LLC

Kevin is Managing Director, The Mountain Group LLC. Served as chief strategist for companies in a variety of industries and has provided hands on leadership of acquisition, disposal or repositioning. He has a strong operating background, working for many years as turn-around consultant. He has served as interim CEO in numerous corporations during periods of crisis or change. BS degree form Willamette University, and his MBA from the University of Washington.

Designer, Terra Forma  

Jim has served in pastoral ministry for over twenty years. He was part of the start up team of pastors of an inner city, multicultural church (New Song Church) in 1997. He has been a Senior Pastor in three churches. including a two-year assignment in Mexico. Prior to being a pastor, Jim worked as an artist and graphic designer, a career he's always kept i parallel with the ministry. For years he had a fine art studio in the Pearl District in Portland, Oregon.

President and CEO, Extraordinary Young People 

Currently serving as the CEO/Executive Director of Extraordinary Young People. Matt is the organizations founder and spokesman. He also serves on the Boy Scouts "Scout Reach" strategic planning committee. Prior to EXYP, Matt was a small business owner, marketing representative, radio on-air personality and high school, international and college basketball player.

Garland Brunoe
General Manager, Kah-Nee-Ta High Desert Resort & Casino

Garland brings a lifetime of experience as a tribal leader to EXYP's board of directors. He currently serves as general manager of the Kah-Nee-Ta High Desert Resort and Casino in Warm Srings. Previously, he has served as Warm Srings Tribal Chairman and Vice-Chairman. Garland's ties to regional and national Native American organizations have proven valuable to our board. "I don't believe any of us, unless we walked in these children's shoes, can understand what they go home to," Garland says. "This youth center gives them a key to their young lives, to see there's hope for the future."

ASPSU President, Portland State University

Rudy is a student at Portland State University. He serves as the Associated Students Of Portland State University (ASPSU) President. As a Native American young person, he brings invaluable insight to the EXYP Board.

LoVina Louie

LoVina Louie-Lawrence is from the Coeur d’Alene/Colville tribes and was born and raised in Nespelem, Washington. She is currently the Youth Coordinator for the Coeur d’Alene Tribal Youth Leadership Program. In the past eight years she has developed and implemented the Rock’n the Rez program, which is a comprehensive eight-week summer program for youth living on the Coeur d’Alene reservation.

Leland "Rocky" Johnson
Chairperson, EXYP Fundraising Committee

Rocky is highly active in the community, serving on the Advisory Board for the MLK Center of Loaves and Fishes; as Long Range Planning Coordinator for Lake Grove Presbyterian Church; as Board President for the Lakewood Center for the Arts; and has served as a board member of many other organizations. He has been a consultant to Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, where he developed a 50-year Reunion Gift and Peer Screening Program and he spent many years working as a manager and executive at Benjamin Franklin Federal Savings and Loan and Bank of America.

Teresa Overby
EXYP Program Director

Teresa has lead work teams on Cree-speaking reserves in northern Saskatchewan for six years, operated a daily kids’ club with 250 kids and a school program for grades K-12. She has lead self-worth workshops, grief workshops, self-injury/addiction workshops, and dance and drama evangelistic initiatives. She has worked with Health Services and Child Protection to intervene in violent home situations, visited with parents to build a bridge from kids’ ministry into the homes, and has met with tribal leaders to brainstorm about youth interventions. She is the Western Regional Director for Cleansing Stream Canada and has trained overseas churches to run Cleansing Stream. She is also the Director of Genesis Process at Harvest City Church in Saskatchewan, where she works on an inner healing ministry which includes Cleansing Stream, Genesis Process, and counseling. She currently serves and has served as a mentor to young people from early teens to mid-twenties.

Caj Matheson
Pastor

Caj Matheson is a Christian leader for Living Water Ministries located on the Coeur d’Alene Indian Reservation. He is an enrolled member of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe. He has preached, led small groups, and taught Christian Education classes to many different groups. He is interim General Manager of Pacific Northwest Fiber and is also a sole proprietor of his own business. His focus is on leadership theory and consulting.
